Utah: Trip to Midway

Wednesday we left for Midway!  A gift from Mom and Dad to use their timeshare (thank you!!).  Such a cute little town near Park City.  Reminds me of "the hills are alive" in The Sound of Music.

The kids were excited to see a deer right outside our door.

We spent most of our time in the pool--that's all the kids wanted to do.

Anjuli has loved playing with McKenna and Breanna.

The next day we went to a nearby park with a pond.  It was perfect for the kids.  Rebecca bought the kids these cute juice drinks with toys on the top.  Our kids are still using theirs everyday!

Chris and Brittany came down for the day, too.  It was so fun to see everyone.

Zui and the boys having fun with the frisbee.

 Time for picnic lunch ;)

Later that night Jas & Becca treated us to steaks!  They were soo ono!  Rebecca made delicious caramelized onions to go on top.  We felt so spoiled this trip, everyone was so generous with us.  We are just so grateful for the many people who helped make this trip happen ;) Mahalo nui!

Utah: Discovery Gateway Children's Museum

Merry Christmas to us!!  Mom and Dad gave us a "family activity" for Christmas last year (love it!).  We had heard from several friends that this museum was a must-see, so we decided to go.
Right as you enter there is a maze full of tubes pressurized so balls pop right up.  The kids could put balls in all sorts of different tubes and watch them get sucked up and travel all around the room--so cool!

Here Zion and Zeya are collecting balls to put into the peg board, which lights up as the balls touch each peg.

Anjuli had a blast playing in her own mini-store--complete with shopping carts, baskets, play food, and even a checkout.

Jasmine loved the garden center...just the right height for her, and boy does she have a good arm.  You can just imagine how each vegetable looked all over the floor ;)

Anjuli and Zion on the life-size horse.

Zion loved the pretend car.

oh!  Time to fill up gas!

Zeya loved this huge water table.  He stayed in this center for almost 2 hours straight.

Isn't this place awesome?!

Construction Zone was also a winner.

I love this picture.  Looks like Zion is taking a break after a hard day's work ;)

 Check out this crane!

On the roof of the museum was a real helicopter.  The kids were completely enthralled.

What a fun day!  The kids had such a blast.  We even got to ride the"train" downtown to SLC and ended the day with their favorite--Mcdonald's  ;)  Thank you Mom and Dad!!!

Utah: Catching up with Friends

It was so nice to catch up with people we hadn't seen in years...  Plus we went to soo many cool parks!  Wow, Hawaii is totally lacking in that department...  Anyways here we are at some castle park in American Fork spending time with Zui's best friend, Matt and his fiance just a few days before they got married!!

I'm so glad I got to see my good friend from high school, Jen Clement.  Our babies are just a few weeks apart.

Jen has 4 boys so Zion and Zeya were in boy toy heaven.  Anjuli kept asking where all the princess toys were...

Jasmine and Henry trying to share.

More fun with friends: we had a get together with the Lindgren's and Kongaika's.

Annisha, Meilani and I were great friends back in Hawaii.

It was so neat to reconnect with them.  This trip has been a blast for the kids because everywhere we visit there are a ton of kids and toys to play with.  I don't think my kids have ever jumped on so many trampolines before!

Utah: Party at Lorinda's :)

We spent Sunday night with Zui's sister, Lorinda and her family.  The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins, and playing with all their toys.

Zeya and Koa loved playing with this big pipe.

Anjuli playing mommy to Kiara ;)

Kim Family party: talk story time ;)

Jasmine stilll doesn't like to be held by anyone...especially not Uncle Nathan!

After dinner all the adults played cards, a Kim family tradition.

The kitchen floor is definitely the safest place for a bunch of kids with brownies ;)

Late night party begins!  The kids stayed up til almost midnight playing with their cousins.  So much partying, so little time...

When we woke up in the morning the kids were so excited to see cows!!  Their fence borders Lorinda's backyard.

Thanks Lorinda for having us!  We love you guys!
