Thumb-sucking no more!

Well I think we are FINALLY pau with Zeya's thumb-sucking, it's been 3 weeks now, hooray!  Zeya has been sucking his thumb since birth so it was no easy task.  We used a bitter nail polish called Mavala Stop. Thankfully it did the trick.

I'm so proud of this kiddo. It was so hard for him. He had to learn a new way to console himself and put himself to sleep. Anytime he was upset he would just scream and scream, not knowing how to stop. After the first few days it got better and I think it's officially over, YAY!

Anjuli's Pink Cotton Candies

 Anjuli's first soccer season finished in August.  She had a great time with her team: the Pink Cotton Candies!  She loved the camaraderie, the team cheer, and "dancing" on the field :)

Mommy's helper

Zion has become quite the helper since the baby came.  Several times I've found a bottle of milk made with who knows how much formula inside. Yesterday Ziggy was crying on the couch and before I know it Zion picked him up and is bouncing him in his arms, yikes! But this one takes the cake. I was nursing the baby and look over my shoulder to see  my big boy changing a diaper like he's been doing it all his life. Gotta love that kid.

Big girl bed

Jazzy is growing up! She switched to a big girl bed a few months ago. I was nervous about the transition but she took to it immediately. Anjuli moved in with her so now we have a girls room and a boys room.

Happy one month

 

We've survived the first month, hallelujah!  Baby Z is doing better about getting his days and nights figured out.  And I am getting more used to being up every two hours.  You wouldn't believe it but this kid smiles--a lot.  It is the funnest thing.  I know it's not a responsive smile, but man I love it.  And he has blue eyes!!  Every time I look into his blue eyes it makes me so happy to see a little bit of me in him :)  I don't think there's a chance of it staying but I'm enjoying it in the meantime.  Happy one month, Ziggy!

Trip to Oregon

I don't have many pictures from our family reunion...but here are some good ones Zui took.  It was such a great trip.  So hard, so tired, so emotionally drained...but worth it.  Seeing my family, my entire family, was priceless.
