My Little Anjuli

I can't believe how much my little Anjuli has grown up in the past few months. It seems ever since she turned two she's just been talking non-stop, always surprising me with new words she's picked up. Her longest sentence she's said is "No Mommy, I don't wanna go sleep"--one I'm sure I'll hear often.
Anjuli adores her Daddy. She loves riding piggy back especially.
Zui made Anjuli a sushi roll of rice and tuna, which she actually liked! I couldn't believe it, when she put it in her mouth I said, "ooh, Anjuli yuck-- yummy!" I guess she has Zui's tastebuds...although it probably is a good thing she likes sushi since she's growing up in Hawaii.

Anjuli loves to ride her bike, tickle Zy Zy under the chin, and look for dumptrucks. In fact, whenever she hears the garbage truck coming down our street she runs to me and yells "MOMMY, COME! CUK! CUK! (truck)" So we go outside and watch the dumptruck do its thing to our dumpster and about 4 others as we follow it around.
Here is Anjuli telling Mommy to sit and ride her bike. I did it once (just about killed myself) and now she thinks it's so funny to watch her mommy ride her bike, she wants me to do it all the time. I'm sure it is a sight to see.
Other things I love about my Anjuli: she often pretends she's sleeping when I want her to do something. It's so funny to watch her pretend sleep, she has this really cute smile on her face and her eyelids flutter. Then she "wakes up" and laughs.
Anjuli knows her colors, shapes, and can count to ten, although she always skips 7 and 8 :) She absolutely loves chocolate milk. Words she says I like to hear: hannah (banana), orange-y (orange) yow (yellow), and finally Ashlee (Anjuli).

I sure love my little girl!

President's Day Weekend

Lory and the fam came over from Maui for the weekend. We had a great time with them! Saturday we headed to the zoo.Zy Zy with Gideon and Ri-boyAnjuli absolutely loves the zoo. Eversince we went she is always asking about it. She says "Mommy, elephants big!" "Mommy, giraffe's big!" Monday, we all headed to the Makapu'u lighthouse. It's a great little hike followed by amazing views of Oahu. Anjuli is still talking about "Uncle Alma" since he carried her a good part of the way on the hike :) Aunty Lory and Daisy with the kids. Thanks for all the help!

Zui, Anjuli, and a bunch of the cousins hiked up to the top of this bunker.

Fun with Daddy

Did I say before that my husband makes the best Dad?? He is always playing with the kids, making them laugh. I feel very lucky to have him :)Anjuli especially loves this game. "Nigh nigh!" she screams, then Zui "wakes up" and scares them.

Happy 3 Years!

Today we celebrated 3 years together. I can't believe how fast time has gone by! We are so happy to be married to eachother. Zui is my very best friend--I feel so fortunate to have him. Zui gave me the best gift ever--he mounted our microwave above the kitchen sink! I LOVE it! Before, it was on our very limited counterspace, which meant that often dishes would get piled up in front of it, so anytime you want to microwave anything you have to move a big pile to open up the door.... Everytime I use my microwave I think of him :) Oh, also he gave me a gift card to Godiva--yum!
This is my present to Zui--our piggy bank! So it's really nothing new, but those of you who know Zui know how pake he is--he loves to save. So my gift to him was about $70 cash I had saved (that I could have spent easily!) He found it ammusing, and was glad I didn't spend any money on him. (boys are so weird, that would never work for me...) Happy Anniversary to my true love!

Tandem Biking

Anjuli just loves having Zion come on her bike with her.
It's kinda tricky, but somehow they manage to get halfway down the block with me pushing and balancing Zion in the middle :)
