Clean Teeth

Anjuli's new favorite thing to do is sit inside of the bathroom sink and brush her teeth...with everybody's toothbrush. She just may have the cleanest teeth in the family yet!

Li'l Surfer Boy

I just bought these cute shorts for Zy Zy and had to take a pic. Zion is getting so big now! He's a 14 lb bundle of smiles and laughs. I can't imagine our family without him.

Anjuli and Hats

Anjuli's new thing is hats. She loves putting them on and taking them off all day long. Last week was Zui's parents' anniversary so Zui taught Anjuli how to say "happy" so she could say Happy Anniversary to them. Well, now she says "happyappyappy" all day long :) Oh, also today she said "car" and "church" for the first time. It's so fun to watch her learn and grow!

The Ultimate Mommy Meltdown

Yes, I am truly a Mom. Here's living proof (other than my 2 kids...)

Last week at the beach Anjuli walked off to somebody else's umbrella. It was pretty scary--keeping track of 2 kids is a challenge. So I tried to keep a closer eye on her. But then it happened again. I was talking to my friend and got all caught up in a story, and all of a sudden I got that sick feeling: where's Anjuli? I looked to the right and left and couldn't see her, I started panicking and yelling her name. Still no Anjuli. Then I look at my friend, and she has this crazy look on her face. I look down, and there's Anjuli, sitting in my lap the whole time.

Just Like Mommy

Anjuli loves doing things that I do! I often find her carrying my purses, trying on my shoes, talking on the phone, and putting on makeup. She helps me with the dishes at least once a day. Here I found her wiping down all of our furniture with a wet rag.

White Plains

Today we went to White Plains to watch a Surf Competition with the Lindgrens. Well, we really didn't watch the surfers...the waves were kinda small and the surfers were so far away. Zui had a great time surfing with Jeremy. Anjuli is still loving the beach, although we couldn't get her to go in the water this time.
Anjuli just kept giving Joselyn hugs over and over :)

One, Two, Three, Smile!

Every time I tried to get Anjuli to take her fingers out for a picture she would put all her fingers in...I haven't quite figured out how to get two kids to smile at the same time, especially at this age, but this is the best I could get :)

Happy 3 Months, Zion!

I can't believe Zion is 3 months already! Time really does fly with 2 kids now. Just to document a few things: Zion weighs 14 lbs today, he is really good at smiling, and is just barely starting to laugh. He has aquired a few nicknames: Zy Zy, Baby Z, and Buddy. He is starting to go bald on one side, and has already had 3 haircuts--meaning I've had to cut his hair 3 times due to little dreadlocks that form from rubbing side to side. Zion loves the sound of water. Often we will put him next to the sink and turn on the water to quiet him down. And most of all he loves his big sister! Whenever Anjuli comes up to Zion he'll immediately smile. Life is getting fun with my 2 kids getting older :)

The Nose

Yes, Anjuli has discovered her nose, to say the least. As many of you know, Anjuli is notorious for sucking her two fingers incessantly. Well, just in the last week or two she found out her nose has nice holes for resting her other fingers!

Our Little Helper

Anjuli loves to help! She'll often put Zion's binky in his mouth, but then she'll immediately take it back out. Below, she's "helping" Tosh drink his milk.

Happy 18 Months, Anjuli!

Anjuli has gotten so big already! She knows all her body parts: eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, head, toes, and "piko" (belly button). Her newest word is "please" which sounds like "meeee"! It's pretty cute :) And guess what her favorite toy is....yep, the camera...

Alligator Rock

Today to celebrate King Kamehameha Day we went to Alligator Rock! It's a really nice beach on the North Shore with a big rock in the middle that looks like an alligator. We went with our friends the Kongaikas and had a great time (even though Anjuli is not super smiley--she's camera shy now).
This is how Zion spent most of our beach time. We bought this "Sun Stop'r" and it is awesome! It blocks out the sun and allows us to play on the beach with Anjuli without having to hold him. We also take it to the swimming pool and set up his bouncer inside. Definitely a good buy.

No, Anjuli's not trying to escape, she just really likes to sleep with her legs out of the slats. Weird, yeah?

Bath Time Fun

Zui loves to spike her hair during bath time. It sure is getting long! Check out her nice tan.

Daddy Wins

So just after saying I wouldn't let Anjuli play with water inside I find her here, sitting in the sink having the time of her life. Yep, Daddy put her in so she could "splash around." *sigh* oh well. I've recently modified her inside water time to helping me with the dishes. She loves standing on a chair next to me helping me rinse all the dishes off :) We make a good team!

Surf Date

Zui and I went out surfing for our date this week. It was awesome! I have to admit that I was probably off the board getting washed in the waves more than I was actually on the board. But I did stand up once, yay!

The Big Sister

Anjuli is really getting to be a lot of fun now. Her favorite things to do are go to the park and play outside with water. I'm sure she'd love to play inside with water if I let her :) It is getting pretty hot here now--it's 84 degrees in our house, so she mostly just hangs out in a diaper, which is fine with me knowing how dirty she can get. She turns 18 months in just a few days!

Hello Handsome!

I thought these pictures were so cute! Zion has grown up so much in the last month. He coos and smiles often and is starting to sleep more--a big bonus for all of us!

Friends Already

Zion has been such a joy lately. The cutest thing is to watch Anjuli try to play with him. When she wakes up from her nap and sees him in his bouncer she'll immediately start to squeal, run up to him, and say "hi!" Yesterday I found her putting smiley face stickers on his face :) She's usually pretty safe with him, although she has tried to pick him up a few times. I know she just can't wait til Zion can really play with her.

Beach Daze

We've been trying to go to the beach every week since we've been home. This goal started from the fact that we only went to the beach a total of 3 times last year-- we have no excuse! It is quite a project getting everyones things together, but it is worth it! Here's some pics from the last few trips. Anjuli's cute playmate is named Tosh.
