Wear your Kim Ohana shirt day!

We started out the day visiting Yvonne's workplace, a nursery for orchids. They ship orchids from here to all over the world.

Then we headed to Nine Tribes--think amusement park and PCC combined.

They had tons of rides for the kids. Of course they loved the train ride.

Dad came with us, so nice of him to help out.

Jasmine's first train ride :)

They call this the Venetian Merry-go-round.

Here's the PCC part: a song and dance show depicting the Taiwan Aborigines.

Really beautiful costumes and dancing.

Except for this one...ahem...a little too much skin for me :)

Next we headed up to Sun Moon Lake via cable cars. Doesn't baby Jazz look excited to go?!

The kids loved the ride, so cool to be way up high with a beautiful view.

Amy Kim with us. She and her family helped out so much with the kids and luggage.

The view from our cable car.

The temple at Sun Moon Lake.

Our family circle. Families are forever--in Taiwan, too!

This is the Chinese Stairway to Heaven--365 stairs to represent each day of the year. Along the sides are bells.

Zion fell asleep standing up in the bus...

This is outside the 3rd largest Buddhist temple in the world, and the #1 largest Buddhist temple in Asia.

It's really hard to tell just how big this temple is--gigantic.

This is the lucky Buddha.

This is a statue that is also a pillar that holds up the temple. Each pillar is 5 stories tall!

We were lucky enough to have a guided private tour by some of the Buddhist monks. About halfway through Jasmine started crying...time to eat. I asked one of the monks if I could leave to feed her and they said I couldn't because there was still a half hour left of the tour. Then Jasmine starts crying hysterically, shrieking that echoes all throughout the temple. Suddenly the monk makes a phone call and leads me down the elevator to a private room. Thank heaven!
