Next we headed to Taichung. This is where Dennis and Linda served as mission presidents for 3 years. It was neat to see the city where they lived. After being so cram packed in Taipei with only 1 bed we were so excited to see a very nice hotel with a kitchenette, a living area, and two plush queen beds. The only down side was having to ride the elevators. Only 3 shafts serviced 50 rooms on 31 floors. We were on the 27th.
Zion and Zeya loved looking out the window of our hotel room in Taichung.
Dragon boat Festival!
It was so super crowded here and about a million degrees outside with 100% humidity. I didn't know I could sweat so much... Let alone find a place to feed my hungry baby!
For 100 NT (about $3) the kids could "go fish" to their hearts content and win a prize. I think most kids just fish for the prize, we let them fish for the shade. After walking around in incredible heat and humidity, this little tent was the right answer.
In Taichung we were able to meet up with my new step mom's family. She has two grand-daughters ages 3 and 8. Lehua is the one in the pink hat. She and Anjuli played a lot together.

Beautiful temple at Changhua Buddha.
A member, President Chen owns this water park and let us use it for a discounted price. The boys were sleeping at first (fell asleep in the bus). My kids got really good at taking naps in random locations and all hours of the day.
My boys...
All the cousins had fun cramming onto the mats.
Anjuli refused to wear the swim cap up until the last 10 minutes. She finally got to go in the water after a LOT of coaxing.
